Woah. The food professional-oriented Pennsylvania bulletin board on eGullet just went ballistic on the
state of Thai food in Philadelphia. Although we realize that Philadelphia is hardly New York or Los Angeles when it comes to Thai dining, there are still some great spots around town:
Siam Lotus,
Chabaa,
White Elephant and
Erawan all come to mind. Strangely, some of the most highly rated restaurants by the eGullet crew are ethnically non-Thai joints with Thai items like
Cafe de Laos and
Vientiane Cafe. Pictured above is a photograph of a shrimp dish at Erawan taken by eGullet user mattohara.
