Poutine Arrives In Philadelphia

Dear God, we love poutine. We’ve written about it for other publications and ate far, far too much it in Montreal.

What is poutine? It’s one of Montreal’s trademark foods: Fresh cut french fries topped with a spicy, meaty gravy and cheddar cheese curds. Poutine is kind of amazing… and, yeah, we’re into it.

It’s also finally available in Philadelphia. We got reliable word that the Headhouse Square branch of Kildare’s has added poutine as a permanent menu item. They have a new exec chef too — NBC10’s Brian Duffy.

Now if we could just convince the 4th Street Deli or Koch’s to start making smoked meat sandwiches

Update: Although we just found out about this via the restaurant today, it looks like Food & Drinq was the first to report. Sorry guys!
