Things To Do For Inauguration Day

Next Tuesday is Inauguration Day, which we are approaching with the level of excitement that we used to reserve for Christmas morning (or, most recently, Election Day!). Although most of the hullabaloo will be concentrated in DC, those of us who are staying in Philly need not mourn, as there are plenty of Inauguration Day events around town.

City Paper entreats you to Get Your Barack On! with them at the Plough & the Stars. The party is also brought to you by Drinking Liberally (among others), so it's bound to be all kinds of fun.

London Grill is stretching the celebration over a few days, which is something we can totally get behind. Tomorrow night, they'll have "Party Favors, Champagne & $2.00 Freedom Beers!" while Tuesday will be an all-day Inauguration Day affair. Doesn't sound like enough? They'll also have "Inauguration Ale" from Brewery Ommegang on tap for the duration of January and February.

• In a tribute to Obama's Hawaiian roots, McGillins Old Ale House is throwing a Luau. They'll be bedecking attendees with leis, as well as serving a variety of Hawaiian-themed foods and beverages, and $2 Presidente beers.
