2nd Street Annie's, the restaurant and bar transported from Wildwood, NJ to the (figuratively) greener pastures of Northern Liberties has opened for business on Front Street. The gimmick here is dueling pianos and raucous sing-a-longs (they boast the motto "eat well, sing much, drink often") and the menu is a pretty standard burgers/fried stuff/wings affair. Tramps, a bar located on the 2nd floor is slated to open later on.
If Phoodie's description of its Cape May days is still the case, this opening may be a case of "what hath God wrought". Nevertheless, we'll give 2nd Street Annie's the benefit of the doubt — for now. You can obviously take the bar off of the boardwalk, so maybe you can also take the boardwalk out of the bar.
