Tonight is the premiere of The Chopping Block, NBC's latest attempt to join the fray of reality TV cooking competitions. Among the eight competing teams are Philadelphia mother-daughter pair Angiebrown and Samantha Johnson, who own Soul BYOB in Chestnut Hill.
The grand prize at the end of the figurative cooking tunnel is $250,000 towards opening a new restaurant. Since Angiebrown and Johnson did just open a restaurant, we're curious about how they fared on Chopping Block, especially in light of Craig LaBan 's less than favorable review.
