Craigs Listing: Swallow; Canvas Cafe; Mystery Restaurants
A fresh batch of restaurants for sale or lease cropped up on Craigslist over the past week, including one listing with seventeen restaurants for sale.
‣ The former Canvas Cafe space is for lease, and the poster suggests "a 'Pretzel Factory' franchise" for the space, which we just don't get.
‣ Next up is a "smartly designed boutique BYOB restaurant" in Northern Liberties, owned by a Culinary Institute of America-educated husband and wife team. The clues on this one clearly point to Swallow. We found it on BizBuySell too, this time with an asking price of $175,000.
‣ As far as head-scratchers, we have the two-story University City BYOB, the restaurant/lounge in the Gayborhood (sorry, "Midtown Village"), and the aforementioned seventeen properties from one broker. We've got a hunch that the "Main Street Bistro" in Manayunk might be Liberties Manayunk, but the rest are all mysteries. Any guesses?
