The James Beard Award nomination is what really cemented Zahav's status as most favored restaurant of the year, but it's by no means the last of the accolades flowing in for Michael Solomonov's spot. Take the most recent: Zahav is one of Travel + Leisure's "50 Best New U.S. Restaurants," and the only Philly place on the list. It's topped several best of lists, but still — this getting crazy predictable. How about at least throwing a Distrito mention on that list?
