One of the beauties of the internet is getting a jump on magazine content, before an issue hits newsstands. Philly Mag is totally wise to this, and they're gradually leaking their top 10 restaurants of 2009, before the 50 best restaurants issue comes out in print. Here's what they've divulged so far:
10. Blackfish (last year’s ranking: 3)
9. Talula's Table (new to the list)
8. Amada (last year’s ranking: 4)
7. Distrito (new to the list)
6. Fountain (last year’s ranking: 12)
5. Lacroix (last year’s ranking: 2)
Five down, five to go. Do these picks make sense? And what will the remaining five be? Obviously Zahav, and very likely Kanella. We won't be surprised if Pub & Kitchen or Terence Feury-fied Fork are there either.
