Today, Fond, a BYOB helmed by two former Le Bec-Fin chefs and a former Lacroix captain opens tonight on East Passyunk Avenue in South Philly, while just off of Rittenhouse Square, SliCE, a South Philly pizza place, opened its doors this morning at 10 a.m.. Does that mean South Philly is the new Rittenhouse Square or that Rittenhouse Square is the new South Philly or that the universe is about to fold in on itself while the apocalypse approaches? Either way, we like what we’re seeing in both neighborhoods.
