Hawthorne’s Opening November 18 with 1,000 Bottles of Beer on the Wall

Hawthorne’s, a “gourmet eatery and beer boutique,” is on schedule to open next Wednesday, November 18 at the corner of 11th and Catharine Streets. Owners Chris Fetzfatzes, whose family owns Bella Vista Beer Distributor and partner Heather Annechiaricos will have 16 beers on draft with growlers to go, plus over 1,000 bottles of beer from, as Fetzfatzes put it, “Delaware to Delhi,” for sale.

The space, which formerly housed Bella Vista Beer Distributor until it moved to its new digs across the street, features a living room, fireplace, couches and pews made of white chestnut. Fetzfatzes wasn’t quite ready to drop the menu when we spoke to him, but says to expect gourmet sandwiches, cheese plates, soups and other prepared foods, plus brunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday through Thursdays will be self-service, while Friday through Sunday will have table service. The cafe will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
