Beef and Beer to Unite at the South Philly Tap Room

Tickets are now on sale for the South Philadelphia Tap Room’s second annual beef and beer on Sunday, January 31 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The $50 price tag, which includes tax, but not tip, gets you both unlimited local and hormone-free beef and unlimited firkin-fresh beer. Manager Kathryn Hague tells us to expect five or six firkins of local brews from Troegs, Sly Fox, PBC and the like in a variety of styles.

British cask ales may also make an appearance. Chef Scott Schroeder is still working on the meaty offerings, but there is talk of prime rib and, sorry vegetarians, there won’t be anything de-beefed for you. The dinner will be buffet style and the firkins will be set up around the restaurant. On an added note, we sincerely hope Chick-fil-A does not come after SPTR for its clever re-jiggering of those ridiculous Eat Mor Chikin ads. Tickets are available online or you can stop by or call.
