Five local bars are competing in the “Barstool Olympics,” a fundraiser to benefit the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund, which aids the families of police officers killed in the line of duty. From February 12 through February 28, Smiths Restaurant and Lounge, the Kite and Key, the New Wave Café, the South Philly Bar & Grill and the Swift Half Pub will compete to sell the most $3 bottles of Molsons. Whoever sells the most wins. Well, really the FOP wins, so check your complaints about lame Canadian beer at the door. There will also be Canadian food specials - think poutine and Canadian bacon - at each of the bars.
