Perhaps using some of the residuals earned from their hit reality show, Parking Wars, the dreaded Philadelphia Parking Authority is offering free metered parking from right this second through Tuesday, as part of a “Spread the Love” campaign initiated by Mayor Nutter Butter to help businesses that have been brutalized by the blizzard.
There will also be discounted parking at several PPA-run Center City garages - you can see which ones here - the first four hours of parking will be free, followed by a $3 per hour rate.
If your car is still snowed in, Septa is also offering special discounted fares on regional rail lines.
