Healthy Bites To Go Opens Tomorrow

Healthy Bites To Go, a market and prepared foods cafe from Next Food Network Star contestant Katie Cavuto Boyle, opens to the public tomorrow in Graduate Hospital or Devil’s Pocket or whatever 25th and Christian is called these days (we’re sure someone will set us straight in the comments!). Cavuto Boyle, who is a professionally trained chef and registered dietitian, says the idea is “to bring some good food to neighborhood - I live here and it’s been needed for quite some time.” The market will stock “as much locally sourced product as possible,” while still offering a fully-stocked market with non-local staples like olive oil and canned tomatoes.

There will also be produce, eggs and dairy, much of it sourced from Lancaster County, while many of the dry goods like coffee and products come from local businesses. She’ll also sell hormone-and-antibiotic-free meats. See a full list of the products here.

In addition to the market products, there are also prepared foods like soups, frittatas and sandwiches to eat in at one of the cafe’s tables or to take away. See a sample menu here.

Starting in March, Healthy Bites will offer cooking classes, which are limited to eight people and include wine and a meal.

Hours are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
