What’s really left to do with cupcakes? There are gluten-free cupcakes, cupcake trucks, cupcakes for dudes and TV shows about cupcakeries. Where do we go from here? Well, it’s just a short leap to a Wing Bowl-inspired cupcake eating contest, according to Flying Monkey, one of Philly’s first cupcakeries, which will celebrate its fourth birthday on April 28 by hosting just such an event at its Reading Terminal Market location. Read on for details on how to enter and suggestions for El Wingador-esque nom de cupcakes!

Submit the following in an email to cupcakebowl@flyingmonkeyphilly.com with the following:

• your stage name/nom de cupcake
• your professional competitive eating/cupcake eating experience
• why you think you should be a contestant in Flying Monkey Cupcake Bowl 2010.

Per owner Rebecca Michaels:

Costumes are STRONGLY encouraged. Winner will get one cupcake a day for one year and Philly street cred! We will contact you via email by April 14 if you are selected.

Need a suggestion for a nom de cupcake? Here’s a selection from the twisted minds of the Grub Street editorial team.
