PETA Ranks Citizens Bank Park Number One

Twice in one week the Phillies made history. First on Saturday, when Roy Halladay pitched a no-hitter perfect game - one of only 20 in MLB history - and again on Tuesday when PETA named their home turf, Citizens Bank Park, America’s number one vegetarian-friendly major league stadium, according to a statement issued by the animal rights group. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Citizens Bank Park has come out on top of PETA’s ranking. The group cites the park’s wide selection of meatless options, including veggie burgers, Southwestern black-bean burgers, veggie dogs, faux steak sandwiches, veggie chicken steaks, mock crab cakes, hummus and pita chips, and fresh fruit. Citizens Bank Park is the first undisputed dynasty in the history of PETA’s rankings, according to the statement. [PETA Files]
