It only took about three thousand beer drinking events spanning the last three years’ Beer Weeks, but the point is finally getting across: Philly is one of the world’s best cities for beer, and Frommer’s inclusion of the City of Brotherly Love on its list of “The 14 Best Places to Drink Beer” serves to bolster this bragging right. In the worldwide roundup, Philly is positioned alongside such venerable suds-sipping destinations as Dublin, Munich and Brussels, and is one of only three U.S. cities to make the cut. Milwaukee and Portland, Oregon are the other two. In the piece Nodding Head, Johnny Brenda’s and Standard Tap are listed as places to drink. [Frommer’s]
