This morning the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) announced it has inked a deal with Stephen Starr to provide catering services for all the museum’s events and revamp its restaurant and cafes in the main building and neighboring Perelman Building. This will be the third cultural institution in the region to partner with Starr’s catering division for concessions. PMA joins Grounds for Sculpture, in Hamilton, N.J., the Barnes Foundation, in Lower Merion, and the Mann Center for Performing Arts here in Philly. The Museum Restaurant will close temporarily while it is reconceptualized - details will be announced in the coming weeks - and in August the Museum Café will debut new menus inspired by the current Late Renoir exhibition.
