All Vegan Loving Hut Opens on South Street; Floret Closes on the Mainline

South Street is the latest outpost for Loving Hut, an international chain of vegan restaurants that specialize in serving up dishes composed of locally sourced ingredients. This new location, which opened Tuesday, serves vegan sushi, vegan burgers, bubble teas, smoothies and shakes.

In other veggie news, Thulasi Indian Restaurant, a South Indian vegetarian BYOB, opened in the Centre Plaza in Bensalem. Its name refers to a type of basil native to South Asia that plays an in important role in Hindu traditions.

In sadder news, Floret, restaurateur Scott Morrison’s project that opened earlier this year in the former Pond space in Radnor, has closed. Also closed is Tequila Joe’s on Skippack Pike in Center Square. [Insider]
