Last week Meritage’s Ann Coll gained considerable local attention when she introduced her take on Korean Fried Chicken. Today the chef’s notoriety is pushing past the Philly boundaries with a mention in the New York Times for another Korean specialty that she and her sous chef Ann Suk Miller have been serving on Wednesday nights for the past year, Korean tacos. The article’s larger focus is on the proliferation of Korean tacos beyond their West Coast origins.

Get a taste Coll’s Korean tacos tonight, which will be sharing the spotlight with another special limited to this week, a Painted Hills Natural Beef ribeye. The oversized steaks are this week’s dinner-for-two special, and are served with new potatoes, roasted baby carrots, grilled zucchini, caramelized onions and roasted heirloom tomatoes, and a baby arugula salad. Tomorrow night the aforementioned Korean Friend Chicken makes its return. [NYT]
