The Wakim Restaurant Group and Chef Abdelatif Dahrouch are teaming up to rebirth Evviva as ‘Bistro Evviva,’ a 50-seat French/Mediterranean restaurant. The former Evviva Restaurant & Catering closed its restaurant in the late eighties and has operated for 27 years as a catering venue in the historic Main Line mansion. Dahrouch comes to the Evviva after leaving his post as as executive chef at Taquet in Wayne. Before that, he was the chef/co-owner of La Terazza, in Miami, FL. Dahrouch describes the experience at Bistro Evviva as “delightfully informal” and his food as “perfectly prepared.” Some of those perfectly prepared dishes will include salmon tartar with quinoa and capers; pan seared striped bass with brussels sprouts; and Kobe beef bolognese. Evviva will house a full bar and serve dinner Monday through Saturday.
