Earlier this week Grub Street mentioned that Warsaw Café, the long-time Center City destination for Polish and Eastern European specialties, was on its way out. Later, we said that its liquor license was sold and that it might remain open as a BYOB. In the latest round, it turns out that Warsaw’s liquor license was sold to Mike Stollenwerk and will be put into play at his forthcoming Fathom Seafood Bar in Fishtown, according to the Insider. But with the building’s owner fixing to sell the property and not renewing the restaurant’s lease, things don’t look very promising. [Insider]
