What’s New for Restaurant Week

Center City’s annual autumnal rite of Restaurant Week kicks off this Sunday, and in a repeat performance from last year, it extends through two weeks, running from September 12 to 17, and 19 to 24. As usual reservations are being booked up quickly. But rather than stressing out over when you can score a seat at Amada or Buddakan, consider the host of newcomers to the Restaurant Week fold. Barbuzzo, which just opened, is perhaps the newest of the new kids on the block, but several other restaurants are also getting in on the action for the first time too. Click through to see what else is new.

The aforementioned Barbuzzo is taking full advantage of Restaurant Week to make an impression on diners. The restaurant is offering $20 lunches and $35 dinners for both weeks, and is throwing in a bonus fourth course with its prix fixe menu. Additional restaurants making their initial foray into Restaurant Week include Amuse, Cooperage, Girasole, Knock, Percy Street Barbecue, Pumpkin, Sampan and Tweed.
