Acclaimed Chef Rene Ortiz Joins Tequila’s For Two Special Dinners

René Ortiz, the talented chef behind Austin, Texas’ contemporary Mexican restaurant La Condesa, which was nominated for the James Beard Foundations’ prestigious “Best New Restaurant” award, will be making a guest appearance at Philly’s longest running Mexican restaurant, the venerable Tequila’s, for two special dinners. On both nights (Sunday, October 24 and Monday, October 25) Otiz will prepare a multi-course $55 prix fixe dinner that will highlight his culinary vision, which stands as an internationally-inspired homage to the taste’s of Mexico City’s trendy Condesa neighborhood. Each course will be paired with cocktails featuring Sienbra Azul, the boutique tequila that Tequila’s owner David Suro produces in Mexico. Click through to see the entire menu and pairings.
