Fathom Seafood House, the fishy gastropub from Fish owner Mike Stollenwerk that Grub Street mentioned back in May was coming to Fishtown, might open within the next week or two. It’s also gone through a slight name change. The working title was Fathom Seafood Bar, but changed to Fathom Seafood House in effort to recapture the nearly lost tradition of Philadelphia’s fish house restaurants. “Everything’s in place, we’re just waiting on a health inspection,” Stollenwerk told Grub Street this morning. “After that and few other last minute loose ends are wrapped up, we should be ready to open.” Stay tuned for further details.
