Unbeknownst to many of the city’s thirsty throngs, Capogiro’s University City location — below City Tap House and next to Bobby's Burger Palace at the Radian — has a liquor license. It’s something the gelato artisans have been trying to draw attention to since opening last year. In their latest effort to build buzz, Capogiro commissioned the Oyster House's Katie Loeb — one of the bartenders Grub Street recently profiled in the Behind Bars series — to design a selection of cocktails using their award winning gelatos and sorbettos. The menu she came up with offers playful frozen interpretations of classic pre-prohibitions cocktails, tiki drinks, romantic shots for two and drinkable desserts. Click through to see them and lets us know with a comment which ones look the tastiest.
