Victory Brewing Co. Keeps Pushing the Green Envelope

From the very beginning, when he opted for reclaiming an abandoned Pepperidge Farm factory as a base of operations as opposed to building a new facility, Bill Covaleski has been pushing a green agenda at Victory Brewing Company. He believes that minimizing the environmental impact of his company ensures his ability to continue sourcing the best ingredients possible for making his award-winning beer, according to this video from NBC 10. At the Downingtown brewery he recycles steam power from brewing operations, ships spent grains out to a local Angus beef farmer (who in turn supplies Victory’s brew pub with steaks and ground beef) and is in the process of installing 330 solar panels to reduce his carbon footprint.

Watch the video below to see Covaleski walk and talk NBC 10’s reporters through the many green initiatives he’s put in place at Victory Brewing Company.
