PETA’s either slipping a little or blatantly turning a blind eye to that whole Eagles signing Michael Vick thing when it named Lincoln Financial Field the number one vegetarian-friendly NFL stadium. Sure there’s enough mock cheesesteaks, faux chicken, veggie burgers and veggie hotdogs at the Linc to keep a small army of vegetarian football fans well fed, but all the seiten in the world won’t be enough to make up for the very unethical treatment of animals that got Vick suspended from the NFL in 2007. Like the NFL, the Eagles and the fans who take wins more seriously than animal abuse, we assume PETA forgives and forgets when it comes to star players. [PBJ]
