While an official opening date remains elusive, Fathom Seafood House, fish’s Mike Stollenwerk’s seafood-centric Fishtown pub, has the paper off the windows — clearly an indicator that the highly anticipated bar is just about ready to pop — according to new photos just published on Philadelphia Brownstoner. A few weeks ago, Grub Street mentioned that Stollenwerk was just one health inspection away from getting the official go-ahead to open. With the paper down, what’s revealed are gorgeous marble-topped tables, window bench seating and a large L-shaped bar. Following Fathom’s opening, Stollnewerk is expected to begin reviving his dearly departed BYOB Little Fish in the former Salt & Pepper space at Sixth and Fitzwater streets.
