As mentioned here the other day, in the course of going through the motions before officially opening, Le Pain Quotidien, the Brussels-based international chain of artisan bakery-cafes, gave away the house Monday morning. Today the first of its Philly outposts — the company has footholds in four other U.S. cities and more than 150 locations around the world — opened for regular business. Whether seated at the café’s communal dining table or getting a quick bite to go, Le Pain Quotidien offers guests a wide selection of signature hand-made organic breads and pastries, plus a full menu of soups, salads, tartines and a selection of daily specials.
