While Philly’s most likely seen the worst the Old Man Winter can dish out for a while, there’s still snow and frigid temperatures in the weekend forecast. So if you’re looking for something to take the chills off, check out Dock Street tonight. The brewery is tapping a cask of its Prisoner of Hell, a beer brewed with fiery chili peppers. If capsaicin-laced beer is not your thing, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in West Chester is hosting its annual Belgium Comes to West Chester tomorrow. The daylong celebration will feature more than 20 different kinds of Belgian-style beers from area breweries.

• Also on Saturday the Khyber Pass Pub hosts its annual chili cook-off. More than 20 entrants will pony up crocks of chili made with beer for guests and judges. There’s no room left to enter the contest, but anyone can sample the contestant’s goods.

• On Sunday the South Philly Tap Room is doing its annual Beef & Beer. Chef Scott Schroeder has put together an impressive all-you-can-eat menu that features a variety of locally-raised beef dishes. $50 gets you unlimited food and beers from freshly tapped firkins. Menu items include slow-roated beef strip loin, carne asada tacos, herb-roasted potatoes and more. Beers include Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA, PBC Shackamaximum, Troegs Nugget Nectar and Sly Fox Robbie Burns.

• Sunday night is also the debut of Fish’s Small Plates Sunday. Each week chef-owner Mike Stollenwerk will come up with a series of diminutive dishes, designed to open guests up to new dining experiences. The menu will change every Sunday, but some dishes offered this week will include Hama Hama and Kymomoto oysters, Manilla clams with Spanish Chorizo, lager and parsley; Spanish octopus with braised lamb shank, chickpeas and sunchoke, and lobster with crispy bone marrow, hearts of palm, osetra caviar and sauce Américaine. Prices range from $3 to $15 per dish.
