After we saw her “get all Northeast Philly” (as one of her Twitter followers put it) on the Top Chef: All Stars judges in a tremendous blaze of glory as she exited the show, we suspected that Philly’s Jennifer Carroll was a natural born rabble-rouser. When we got wind of her Rogue Restaurant Week plans, we were certain of it. This week and next, she’s bucking the Center City District’s sanctioned dining out promotion with her own $35 prix fixe menus at 10 Arts. The three-course meals are available tonight, tomorrow and Friday, and resume next Tuesday through Friday. Dishes include celeriac soup with roasted mushrooms and jus, Pennsylvania brook trout with baby bok choy and hazelnut brown butter sauce, Pineland Farms short ribs with Anson Mills polenta, salsify, carrots and red wine brandy sauce, and desserts by 10 Arts Pastry Chef Monica Glass.
