The Business Journal reports today that the Center City Borders store, which the bankrupt company expects to close in coming weeks, could find new life as a restaurant. Great news, right? Well, kind of. While it’s nice knowing the two-story 2,2600 square foot space won’t likely remain vacant for very long, the report says the building’s listing agent is trying to lure a national restaurant group to move in. From Morton’s and McCormick & Schmick’s to IHOP and the Olive Garden the neighborhood is already home to every imaginable chain. Does it really need another? [PBJ]
