What the shuck, it's only a buck!

As a name for a Tuesday night special, Philadelphia Bar & Restaurant’s Shuck Off! is a little off-putting and kind of sophomoric. How about Aw Shucks!, Kick Out the Jams Mothershuckers! or Cheap as Shuck Tuesday Night Special? We’ve got a million of them. But when its $1 oysters and cheap beer they’re talking about, who are we to complain? Each Tuesday from here forward, PBR’s chef Jordan Sauter is putting forth several varieties of East Coast and West Coast oysters and pairing them with flights of specially priced 5 oz. pours of craft beer to give guests a gaggle of different taste combinations.

For tonight’s first run, the oyster selection includes Sewansecott Salts from Hog Island, VA, Sun Hollows From Hood Canal, WA, Deep Bays and Hawk’s Points from British Columbia. The beer lineup features Bells Brewery Two Hearted Ale, Dogfishhead 90 minute IPA, Tröegs Nugget Nectar and Flying Fish Exit 9, just to name a few. If you ask us, it sounds like a pretty shucking awesome deal.
