The South Philly Food Co-Op has made some progress in recent months, but still has a ways to go to realize its mission of setting up a permanent home for a member-owned supermarket. Tonight Hawthornes is hosting an appetizer tasting and growler happy hour, with proceeds benefiting the South Philly Food Co-Op. The beer boutique is putting out a spread of its appetizers and offering $5 off growlers and $1 off drafts from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
