Chris Fetzfatzes and Heather Annechiaricos, owners of Bella Vista’s shrine to craft beer, Hawthornes, are planning to open a follow up to their 1,000 bottle-plus brew-tique on Main Street in Manayunk. PlanPhilly’s Amy Quinn reports that the Manayunk Neighborhood Council voted unanimously this week (an extremely rare occurrence) to approve the new venture. There are some conditions though. For starters, the new spot can’t stay open past midnight on weekends and no later than 10 p.m. during the week. Fetzfatzes and Annechiaricos are reportedly fine with that. As proof of their intentions for the new business, they explained how their Bella Vista outpost doesn’t have a bar or sell malt liquor, and was specifically designed to stifle any potential rowdy drunkenness. Details are sketchy, but plans for the new spot include a huge selection of rare, craft and small batch beers (obviously) and food options like sandwiches, cheeses and other small bites.
