Though the weather is not ideal, Aimee Olexy promises that she and her staff will be serving “garden-y cocktails” outside on the patio at Talula’s Garden when it opens tonight. But it will be a few more weeks before meals will be served out there. She describes the new restaurant that she’s opening with Stephen Starr in the former home of his Washington Square, as an “urban cousin” of Talula’s Table, her celebrated shrine to the farm-to-table movement in Kennett Square. “I tried to make it like my home,” Olexy told Grub Street. “It’s almost the opposite of what Stephen (Starr) would go for.” Grub Street got a sneak peek at the space earlier this week.
