As the Flyers and Bruins gear up for game two in their Eastern Conference Semifinals, Marc Vetri could’ve easily challenged Boston chef Barbara Lynch to some silly regional foods wager, a la the bet between Philly’s Tony Luke’s and Beantown’s AllStar Sandwich Bar. Instead he and his crew at Amis are celebrating the Boston chef with an Italian Clam Bake in honor of her visit tonight to the restaurant’s monthly industry party. Amis chef Brad Spence plans to serve stuffed clams, mussels steamed in Narrangansett, corn bread pudding with ramps and cheddar, andouille sausage steamed in seaweed and house made graham cracker s’mores for dessert. In turn Lynch is making lobster rolls, fried clams, littlenecks with spicy tomatoes, bread and butter pickles, and cole slaw. As always, the food is free and the drinks are cheap. All you need to gain entry is a recent paycheck stub from a restaurant.
