Outside at Frankford Hall

Chilly temps and the threat of rain hardly kept the masses from Frankford Hall’s opening last night. Under grey skies, young professionals, old professionals, hipsters, beardos and Fishtownies turned out in droves to drink beer, eat sausages and play ping-pong. At least a half-dozen overly primped women could be seen struggling to maintain their footing on the beer garden’s gravel-covered ground. At 7:30 p.m. both the indoor and outdoor spaces were about two thirds full. Stephen Starr held court up front near the entrance at a table with his family, while Starr Restaurants’ VP Bradlee Bartram roamed the space, mingling and chatting up customers.
