Two Locals Make It to the Final Rounds in Saveur’s Best Food Blog Awards

Two popular local foodie sites are in the running for Saveur’s 2011 Best Food Blog Awards. For his photo of Chef Robert Aiken’s roast chicken dish at Stephen Starr’s Dandelion, Jason Varney, whose work can also be seen scattered throughout Grub Street posts from the last two years, is a finalist with his Fussing With Forks blog. Also in the final rounds is local food scribe and canning whiz Marisa McClellan, who is in the running for top honors in the Best Kitchen Tools and Hardware category for her blog Food in Jars, which we’ve heard is on track to become a hardbound book. The voting is open to the public, but today is the last chance to cast your ballot. The competition closes tomorrow. [Saveur]
