Folks are filling up on more than just gas at Sunoco’s APlus mini-marts in the Buffalo, New York, area. In addition to smokes, chips, and beef jerky, customers can now also pick up a cold 64-ounce glass jug of craft-brewed beer. Since June, the company has been testing its Craft Beer Exchange growler-filling pilot program at a dozen locations, and so far it sounds like they’re off to a good start. The company has reportedly tapped local breweries and beer distributors for help on training its convenience-store staffs on growler-filling best practices, sanitation, and what styles of beers to serve. That’s great, because no one’s going to want a growler of some foofoo brew. [CSNews]
