Today two of the Garden States top brewers are teaming up to create what they say will be New Jerseys Finest Ale. Casey Hughes, Flying Fishs brewer and the brains behind the brewerys ongoing Exit Series of limited edition beers, and longtime chum Chris LaPierre, Iron Hills award-winning brewer, mashed in this morning at Iron Hills brewhouse in Maple Shade to begin making Iron Fish. Its a brew the two are describing as a Belgian Black IPA, which will feature a roasted malt backbone, a strong presence of American hops and a telltale spiciness derived from Belgian yeast. The brew will be available exclusively on draught and in growlers at Maple Shades Iron Hill after August 27.
