Two Takes on Farmers’ Cabinet; Santucci’s Pizza Is ‘Outrageously Delicious’

• PW tag-teams Farmers’ Cabinet, and writers Brian Freedman and Tim McGinnis come back with two very different takes. Freedman calls it “easily one of the more exciting” restaurants to open in the last year, while McGinnis pans it, stating that it takes him back to his “freshman year of culinary school and the uninspired dishes that were ubiquitous that year.” [PW]

• Adam Erace says “the bird’s the word” at Rotisseur, and the “beyond-belief-buttery roasted potatoes” are “among the winners” of sides offered. [Citypaper]

• Phyllis Stein-Novack checks in at the newly opened Santucci’s Pizza, and enjoys “one of the most pleasant dining out experiences” she’s had in recent memory. Homemade pickled red onions “played off well with fresh bibb lettuce leaves, small chunks of imported Gorgonzola, crunchy candied walnuts, small slices of celery and sliced apples” in the Granny Smith apple salad. The spaghetti and meatballs were “outrageously delicious,” and the “thin, crispy crust” of the square pizza “immediately brought smiles” to she and her dining companions’ faces.
