Here’s a shocker: Mike Stollenwerk has unloaded his Queen Village BYOB, Little Fish, the restaurant that helped solidify his reputation as a world-class chef and restaurateur. You may recall Bon Appétit named it one of the country’s best seafood restaurants shortly after Stollenwerk took ownership of it back in 2007. As if that’s not enough of a surprise, his recently opened Fathom Seafood House is going up for sale. In a prepared statement, Stollenwerk said his choice to divest himself of the two restaurants will allow him more time to focus on his flagship Fish, which we recently learned is about to move to much bigger digs near Midtown Village, and devote more hands-on time in its kitchen. Little Fish chef Chadd Jenkins has taken ownership of the restaurant, and is expected to keep it running mostly as is. There’s no word yet if there’s a buyer for Fathom, but it will remain open until a sale has been finalized.
