You remember those paladares-inspired piqueos dishes we told you Cuba Libre’s Guillermo Pernot was rolling out a while back? He’s tweaked them a little for the change of seasons, and will start offering them as a $29 all-you-can-eat option starting Monday and every Monday after that. Some new additions include Pato Ahumado, house-cured smoked duck, roasted corn salsa and huitlacoche vinaigrette; and Buñuelos de Espinaca, spinach and Manchego cheese puffs with goat cheese-ranch sauce and organic olive oil. For lunch this fall, Pernot is rolling out his answer to the power lunch.

Rápido Lunch, puts forth four three-course options. The Del Mar, packs Sopa Levanta Muerto, seafood soup with coconut “Chino-Cubano” broth; Mamá Amelia’s Cataluña Empanada, filled with shrimp, creamy spinach and pine nuts served with baby spinach salad and goat cheese-ranch dressing; and Dorado a la Plancha, Mahi-Mahi filet served with “forbidden” black rice, “Mojito” salsa verde and chipotle aioli all into one quick lunch. The Cuban bento box, which sort of mimics the piqueos dishes, comes with three plates and dessert.
