Meritage’s Ann Coll is rolling out a new tasting menu tonight that’s inspired by what Henry David Thoreau called “noblest of fruits,” the apple. What’s strange is, it has nothing to do with the passing of the late great Steve Jobs. Rather it’s Coll’s ongoing exploration of familiar and not so familiar fall flavors. The four-course feast is available through Friday for $39 per person, and boasts such creations as apple fritters, apple relish, apple ravioli and apple cider gastrique.
