Pub & Kitchen rolls out its fall menu update today, and though there’s an all-new LaFrieda masterpiece in that Parliament Burger we told you about last week, and a tasty-looking appetizer in the potted crab and artichoke that we included in yesterday’s slideshow of dishes we can’t wait to try this season, one thing that’s noticeably missing is the anglophile pub’s unofficial signature dish, fish and chips. It’s just one of several sweeping changes in store for the Rittnehouse watering hole. “We’re taking the menu back to where we started — more of a ‘restaurant’ menu with appetizers and entrees,” Chef Jonathan Adams told Grub Street. “But we’re venturing into uncharted territory with taking the fish and chips off.”
Adams alluded to the possibility of fish and chips returning to P&K, but wouldn’t say whether it would resurface as a special or an a la carte addendum, nor when it might stage a comeback. Until it does, there’s two meaty burgers and a host other dishes available. Check out the new menu here.
