The Art of Living According to Joe BeefPhoto: Ten Speed Press
Frederic Morin, one half of the duo behind Montreal’s celebrated restaurant Joe Beef — that’s the “male version of Prune” that Momofuku’s David Chang calls his favorite restaurant — is coming to town on December 7 to cook dinner at Osteria with Jeff Michaud and his crew. The limited seating dinner (just 60 seats), which is part of a tour supporting Morin’s and partner David McMillan’s recently released book The Art of Living According to Joe Beef, will highlight some of the mind-blowingly extravagant and irreverent dishes that the two have earned international recognition with at their restaurant and are featured in the book. Dishes like their foie gras parfait with madeira jelly, squid stuffed with lobster and duck steak au poivre will be served with colorful anecdotes from Morin. The $150 cost covers all food and drink, plus a signed copy of the book. Keep reading to check out the menu.
