Swanky Bubbles
No thanks to Spike TV’s show “Bar Rescue” and its resident bar-makeover guru Jon Taffer, outmoded Old City haunt, Swanky Bubbles, which the show rechristened Sheer, is no more. The Insider reports that it was dark and sealed up tight as drum on Saturday night. According to reports, the bar’s staff was told on Friday that they were no longer needed, and that the owners and that tax liens and battle over the liquor license are to blame for the closure.
