Though it’s their fourth annual Holiday Bash, when Choice Tasters roll up on the Pub on Passyunk East tonight, they’ll be bringing with them a Philly first: The first barrel of Brewery Ommegang’s Seduction to be tapped in the 215. It’s a Belgian-style porter brewed with Callebut chocolate (naturally) and blended with cherry-laden Liefmans Cuvee Brut kriek. And it’s just one of the handful of Belgian and Belgian-style brews on tap. Other rarities on offer for tonight’s festivities include Delirium Noel; N’ICE Chouffe, a strong, dark holiday beer from Brasserie d ‘Achouffe that’s spiced with thyme and curaçao; Sixpoint Belgian IPA, a well balanced IPA brewed with Sixpoint’s proprietary Belgian yeast strain; Samiclaus Bier, one of the strongest and most sought after Christmas beers made; and at least four other Brewery Ommegang selections, including the ‘Achouffe collaboration, Gnomegang. The party starts at 9 p.m. and goes all night.
